WE MK16 MOD 0 "Open Bolt" assault rifle replica

The replica is made of metal and durable plastic – ABS. The replica’s upper receiver, the outer barrel, the iron aiming sights and all of the minor elements like the trigger, the magazine release button, the RIS rail and the firing mode selector level are made of metal. The lower receiver, the stock, the profiled pistol  grip are made of plastic. The replica is very similar to the original firearm due to the dimensions and technical solutions. Just like in the real firearm, a quick detach and attach system of the iron aiming sights was used. Underneath the front aiming sight there is a hidden wrench which is used to disassemble the replica.

The replica is equipped with an operating bolt catch, a cocking handle which opens the dust cover. Additionally, another portion of realism is obtained by the new system introduced by the manufacturer – the so called Open Bolt. The WE replicas that are equipped with this solution do not have the brass insert in the bolt carrier chamber and which was present in the first models made by this company.

The assault rifle is powered by green-gas that allows to generate a muzzle velocity of about 350 FPS in typical conditions. While firing, the functioning Hard Kick Gas Blowback system makes the recoil incomparably bigger and more realistic than in the case of those seen in the electric replicas.

The replica is equipped with a functioning bolt catch button. After pulling the cocking handle, you need to press the bolt release button in order to make the bolt carrier get back in its place and to cover the whole mechanism. The replica is equipped with a collapsible stock which additionally minimizes the dimensions of the replica to the minimum (520mm). The top RIS rail is where the perfectly made, functional and durable flip-up type aiming sights are mounted.

The magazine included in the set is made of metal and holds 30 BB pellets.
