The Pistolet Makarova (Russian: ПM, Пистолет Макарова) is a semi-automatic double-action pistol  in 9 x 18 mm Makarov calibre from Russia. It succeeded the Tokarev TT-33 and was developed in the 1950s, remaining in service as a military and police standard from 1951 to 1991.
